1. Who we are
Lumi is provided by Raphael Malburg, in Portugal ("Lumi", "we"). Contact: infra.devstudio@gmail.com.
2. What Lumi is
Lumi is a Christian prayer, reflection, and focus app. It creates a pause before apps you choose and offers prayer in your own words, silence, reviewed Bible passages, a private journal, and bounded conversations with an AI companion.
Lumi is not God, clergy, therapy, diagnosis, professional advice, or an emergency service. AI-generated responses can be wrong and are never revelation, prophecy, or spiritual authority. If there is immediate danger, self-harm, or abuse, contact local emergency services and a trusted person nearby.
3. Minimum age and account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Lumi. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, service abuse, or violations of these terms.
4. App protection and emergency unlock
Protection depends on operating-system permissions and features (Screen Time/Family Controls on iOS, Usage Access on Android) and may not work on every device. Lumi is designed to offer emergency access and release protection when access ends, but availability depends on the device and its configuration. Do not rely on the app as your only means of accessing essential services. Lumi must not be used as parental control or to restrict other people.
5. Lumi Premium subscription and pricing
Lumi Premium is an auto-renewable subscription with two options: monthly and annual. The price, currency, and billing period are shown in the app and in the App Store (or Google Play) before you confirm the purchase. The price shown by the store, in your local currency and including applicable taxes, is the price that applies.
During the trial offered directly by Lumi (7 days), there is no automatic charge: when it ends, access to paid features stops unless you subscribe. When a free trial or introductory offer is provided by the App Store, it is shown before you confirm and automatically converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Included Voice Time and additional Voice Time packs (one-time, non-recurring purchases) are described in the app at the time of purchase.
6. Automatic renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID (or Google Play) account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, the store will notify you in advance under its own rules.
7. How to cancel
On iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Lumi > Cancel Subscription. You can also open "Manage subscription" in Lumi Settings. On Android: Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid; you keep access until then. Deleting the app or your Lumi account does not cancel the store subscription.
8. Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds follow their policies. For App Store purchases, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, use the order history in your Google account. Lumi has no access to your payment details and cannot issue refunds directly. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
9. Content and acceptable use
Your prayers and journal belong to you. You grant us only the license needed to store, encrypt, and process that content to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not use Lumi for unlawful activity, to circumvent usage limits, to bulk-extract the model or Bible texts, or to harm others.
10. App Store license
For the app downloaded from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (standard EULA) also applies. In case of conflict about using the app on Apple devices, Apple's EULA prevails. Apple is not responsible for Lumi, its maintenance, or support.
11. Limitation of liability
Lumi is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that app protection will work on every device. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer rights, warranties, compensation or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Lumi does not guarantee spiritual, health or behavioral outcomes and is not a substitute for professional help or emergency services.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on this site. You can stop using Lumi and delete your account at any time in Account > Delete account.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules. Court jurisdiction is determined by applicable law, including mandatory rules that protect consumers. Questions: infra.devstudio@gmail.com.
